Major accident prevention for explosives
Since its revision in 2015, the Major Accidents Ordinance, (MAO) also applies to companies that handle explosives. We assist private-sector companies that operate with explosives for civilian use when it comes to implementing the new enforcement assistance that were issued in 2022. We also help these companies to draw up summary report and risk report in accordance with the MAO.
Our services
- Draw up summary reports and risk reports according to MAO for companies that produce, store, sell and dispose of explosives (e.g., propellant powder, firework and ammunition)
- Assessment of the state of the art in safety technology
- Drafting of incident and impact analyses for explosives
- Identification and evaluation of safety measures regarding their effectiveness and proportionality
- Completion of dynamic dimensioning of building structures with respect to explosion impact
