Renewable Energy Development Project in Vietnam
Demand for energy in Vietnam is increasing sharply. The use of renewable energies should therefore be expanded. SECO has mandated EBP to provide support for the optimisation of the framework conditions, capacity building and the establishing of a project Pipeline.
An increasing number of people is consuming energy in Vietnam. In order to expand the supply sustainably, the World Bank and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) are promoting renewable energies. They are offering loans for private investments in this sector and promoting the optimisation of the framework conditions. Under the mandate of SECO, EBP is providing support in the following areas:
- Project control and monitoring
- Optimisation of economic, ecological and social regulatory framework
- Know-how transfer for sector development
- Establishing a project pipeline
